Through our online quote engine, we help international and Canadian clients locate insurance policies that provide the best coverage at the best cost. Current Opportunities

We have an immediate opening for a permanent full-time licensed insurance agent. We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented individual who is interested in working in a fast-paced environment in our Vancouver office. After completing a training program, daily tasks will focus on selling and administering travel insurance policies.

Required

  • Minimum High School Graduation (BC or equivalent);
  • University diploma/degree preferred;
  • LLQP (either Life or Accident/Sickness) with some previous insurance experience preferred (candidates with relevant experience willing to quickly write the exam will be considered);
  • Fluent reading, writing and speaking skills in English;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Preference will be given to agents fluent in Madarin;
  • High energy, positive attitude and team player;
  • Ability to take direction, but act with initiative and self motivate to meet deadlines and responsibilities;
  • Solid organizational ability and an attention to detail;
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially word processing and spreadsheet software;
  • Previous sales & marketing experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Sell insurance policies by phone and email;
  • Process client orders;
  • Answer client calls;
  • Send basic email marketing communication to website users;
  • Complete administrative tasks such as processing early return refunds, cancellations, policy date changes;
  • Validate monthly commission statements from suppliers;
  • Follow-up with clients to obtain missing application/refund information;
  • Complete various tasks associated with the operation of our day-to-day business;
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Hours

40 hours per week Monday to Friday with some weekends

Location

200 block West Broadway (and Cambie) Street, Vancouver, BC (some work from home opportunities after training).

Wages

$26/hr.  Additional significant team-based monthly bonuses after three-month probationary period.
Medical benefits are part of the salary package. Laptop and phone allowance provided.
